Technical SEO that helps search engines reach the right pages

Technical SEO is the part of search optimisation that helps search engines access, interpret and index the pages a website actually wants discovered. Reach X focuses on practical foundations such as crawlability, canonical URLs, sitemap accuracy, structured data, internal linking and performance-minded implementation, alongside content and business context.

Discuss your project

Make important pages accessible and unambiguous

A website can have useful content and still create technical confusion through duplicate URLs, inconsistent canonicals, accidental indexing blocks, broken internal links or incomplete sitemaps. We review the signals that tell search engines which pages exist and which version should be treated as primary, then prioritise fixes that match the real structure of the site.

Connect technical changes with the page experience

Search engines need crawlable pages, but visitors also need a site that loads and behaves reliably. Asset weight, responsive behaviour, rendering choices and page structure can affect both discovery and usability. Technical work is therefore considered alongside the actual website rather than treated as a list of isolated tags.

A PRACTICAL SCOPE

What a technical SEO scope can include

Crawlability & indexing

Review robots directives, indexation signals, sitemap coverage and common barriers that can keep intended pages from being discovered correctly.

Canonicals & metadata

Check canonical URLs, titles, descriptions and page-level signals so important destinations are represented consistently.

Structured data & internal links

Add or refine machine-readable information where it accurately reflects visible content and strengthen links between related pages and services.

Performance-minded foundations

Identify technical choices that can create avoidable loading or rendering problems and coordinate improvements with the website implementation.

CONNECTED SERVICES

FROM DISCUSSION TO DELIVERY

Your technical seo brief

Choose the work your business needs. Your written proposal confirms the selected deliverables, quantities, price, responsibilities and acceptance checks before the project starts.

Crawl and indexability issue register

Record affected URLs, evidence and the impact of each issue.

Canonical, sitemap and linking review

Check preferred URLs, discovery paths and sitemap accuracy.

Prioritized implementation brief

Assign fixes by impact, effort and implementation responsibility.

Before/after acceptance checks

Retest affected URLs against explicit completion criteria.

What to bring

Your domain, important URLs, hosting constraints and read-only Search Console access where available.

Scope and costs

Each finding includes affected URLs, evidence and the proposed correction. Development, content creation and third-party platform work are itemized rather than assumed.

How the work moves forward

  1. Share the goal, website and available evidence.
  2. Agree the work, responsibilities, quote and review points.
  3. Review the agreed draft or implementation against the brief.
  4. Verify the launch or handover and record the next actions.

BEFORE WE BEGIN

Your questions, answered

Can technical SEO guarantee a first-page ranking?

No. Technical SEO can remove barriers and improve how clearly a website communicates with search engines, but rankings also depend on relevance, competition, content, authority and other factors outside one technical change.

Is technical SEO only for large websites?

No. Small websites can also have crawlability, canonical, metadata, performance or internal-link issues. The scope should match the size and complexity of the site rather than using the same checklist for every project.

Should Search Console be used after technical changes?

When available, Google Search Console can help monitor indexing, sitemap processing and search performance after changes are published. It is useful evidence, but search engines still decide when and how pages are crawled and shown.

What does discovered but not indexed mean?

Google knows the URL but has not yet crawled it. Check that it returns HTTP 200, permits crawling and indexing, has the intended canonical and appears in the sitemap and relevant internal links. A correctly redirected alternate URL is a different case and normally should remain excluded. A successful live test or indexing request does not guarantee indexing. See Google’s indexing-reason documentation and recrawl guidance.
